Best House in Puerto Morelos!!
Jim from Minnesota — Best house in Puerto Morelos! After 4 years in Casa del Sol, this was our first year in Casa Margarita and it did not disappoint us in any way! The house is beautiful, and of course cared for by an amazing team of professionals who genuinely care about the guests. The pool is awesome and my 7-year old grandson enjoyed it a lot as did the rest of us adults. Watching the morning sunrise right from your bed – how cool is that? In addition to eating at many of the awesome PM restaurants (La Sirena, John Gray’s Kitchen, of course El Nicho) we had Dona Sonia and Chef Marco from puertomoreloscatering.com come in and teach us how to cook an authentic Mexican meal – don’t miss this. Oops – forgot the Burger Underground. This house will be best place you have ever stayed, and Meta and Jerry and fantastic owners. If I could give it 6 stars I would. We are already booked for the next 2 years!

Perfect Family Christmas!
Angie from Wisconsin — We were fortunate enough to spend our Christmas at Casa Margarita last week! We were 12 all together with our youngest being 3. The house accommodated our large group perfectly and we never felt like we were living on top of each other. The large kitchen was used a lot! We loved that all 12 of us could sit around the table together for dinners and some breakfasts. Metta, Roberto, Thomas, Adrian and the house keepers provide exceptional service and attention to detail. Everything was perfect, clean, and attended to with some really special personal touches that made it even more special! Thank you for that! Some cool things we learned about our new favorite town of Puerto Morelos are: Off the Vine for your wine and liquor needs. (just down form tacos.com) The owner is extremely knowledgeable and gives tastings. Gabriela (don’t know her last name) came to the house ever day for massages on the 2nd floor deck for hours. (we left her card in the scrapbook only $20US for an hour and did an incredible job, she responded to my email by popping in within an hour) the walk to town down the beach is beautiful and short. Use the bikes! We rode them everyday for wine, lunch, ice cream runs etc. The bikes are such a great feature! Snorkeling is a must! Lighthouse tours does a great job and pack your gopro for video! We took advantage of some of the cooking services that are recommended. We loved having dinner cooked for us on the night of our arrival. It allowed us to just move in and enjoy the pool that first night! We also had Marco and Sonia cook dinner at the house which I highly recommend. They are very talented and even did the dishes!!! Thank you again to all of the staff and owners of Casa Margarita. We are planning on coming back in 2019! Can’t wait! Happy New Year!

Jen from California — Casa Margarita is the vacation home that dreams are made of. This house and this location are BETTER than the beautiful pictures. The owners Jerry and Meta have thought of everything and their on site staff is wonderful. The house is clean and modern. Each room is beautifully decorated with the highest quality furnishings. This spacious house allows large groups to relax and enjoy their vacation without ever having to feel like they are crammed into a space together. The kitchen is gorgeous and fully equipped, you will never find yourself saying, “I really need this to make my meal”. The house sadly gets “left out” as the pool and balcony areas are where you will want to spend all of your time. Travelers will love the town of Puerto Morelos. It is full of wonderful restaurants and very friendly business owners. We felt safe and welcome wherever we were. Our group has traveled to many places together and this is our all-time favorite. Thank you to Meta and Jerry for creating this tropical paradise, we will forever cherish our memories created here. We hope this isn’t our last trip to Casa Margarita!

Wonderful Time at Casa Margarita!
Megana from New Jersey – We had the most wonderful time at Casa Margarita. I can’t even begin to describe how much fun we had and how absolutely perfect the house was for our family in particular. My parents are still talking about how perfect everything was and how they couldn’t imagine it being any better. Your house is beyond gorgeous. The location is perfect and the town was exactly what he wanted, small, quaint, not commercialized at all. The whole experience was amazing. I could seriously go on and on. I’ve recommended your house to two families already so be on the lookout. I understand now why you said 80% of your business is return guests. You have a keeper right here. My parents want to come again next year 🙂
Sonia and Marco were lovely. Their food was amazing. The food in general, in Puerto Morelos, was absolutely delicious. I can’t get over how fresh the fish was EVERYWHERE. I miss it!
You’ll definitely be hearing from me again.
Thank you again for everything!

The pool is beautiful and always clean and inviting!
The location is great and the town of Puerto Moreles has so much to offer.
We cooked one night on the awesome outdoor grill and dined at some amazing restaurants in town. two favorites were Chimichurris (yummy pizzas and steaks were out of this world) also The Little Italy. Portions were huge and so good!!
Unico Beach bar is a 2 minute walk on the beach, great burgers and drinks, we ate there twice!
Took a catamaran trip snorkeling and had a blast!
The house staff is very attentive and there to help whenever you need it.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Casa Margarita and Puerto Morelos!!!
We cannot wait to go back to this fabulous home!!

Fabulous Family Vacation
Linda in Maryland—–
Our family of 12 loved Casa Margarita! The property and its views are amazing. The house had everything we needed and more. It has a beautiful private beach, but it’s hard to tear yourself away from the spectacular pool setting. Our four grandkids spent hours every day playing in the pool. We also enjoyed kayaking and snorkeling from the beach in front of the house, as well as taking a boat out to the reef for snorkeling – saw lots of fish and beautiful coral. We enjoyed exploring in Puerto Morelos, which is a charming fishing village. The people are very friendly, and there are lots of good places to eat. We rented two vans for trips to Cabo and Tulum, but in Puerto Morelos, you can walk everywhere. Thank you, Meta, for all your help and for providing such good information, which made the entire stay at Casa Margarita so wonderful.

Perfect Venue For Family Vacation
Puerto Morelos, despite its location just south of Cancun, still has small town Mexican feel to it. While there were many visitors, both locals and Americans during Christmas week, there are no high rises and was plenty of beach to go around. Puerto Morelos has great snorkeling, fishing and restaurants and a quaint town square. Casa Margarita is a half mile north of the town square right on the beach and the Unico Beach Resort, which is less than 100 yards down the beach, is the first of many places along the beach to grab a drink or lunch and even offers really good massages for $25/hr. Casa Margarita is very large and easily accommodated our 11 person group. The beds are comfortable. The house has many places to lounge in the sun or the shade. The property staff under direction from Roberto, the property manager, keeps the property immaculate and did many small things to make our stay better. One morning, with the help of the staff, we rented a fishing boat and caught a large and diverse quantity of fish. While the captain cleaned them for us, we weren’t sure how to prepare them. Roberto arranged for one of the staff to take them home and have his mother cook them for us. At 6pm they showed up with several preparations of fish along with rice, beans and guacamole. It was memorable experience. Last, I should mention that the property owner, Meta, is great to work with and helped us find a cook, Sonia, who also helped make our stay delightful.

Amazing Thanksgiving Week
We had a truly amazing vacation during Thanksgiving Week 2016. We had 6 adults and 4 kids. The House is huge and has everything you could possibly need. Roberto was super helpful whenever we needed him (which wasn’t often). There were 2 guys who cleaned the pool and the pool deck and raked the beach every morning. Our kids loved playing on the private beach and we didn’t need to worry about them, while we lounged by the pool. The grocery store (Chaudhauri) is a 5 minute drive and is a really nice store, and the prices are really cheap. You can easily walk to the town center down the beach in 10 minutes. There are SO many great restaurants within walking distance. There are also a couple of really fun, good beach bars that you can walk to within 3 minutes (and one called Unico also has massages for $20!!). The house is at the end of the beach and is very private, yet within a couple of minutes you can walk to some cool stuff. One night we had Dona Sonia and her husband Marcos cook dinner for us and it was awesome!! We went snorkeling twice on a boat and also snorkeled every day from the beach. Really good snorkeling and saw lots of barracuda!! We fell in love with Puerto Morelos, it an amazing, authentic small town. After being in Puerto, going to Playa del Carmen was really disappointing b/c its so busy and touristy. Casa Margarita is truly a wonderful vacation home and my family absolutely loved it. They are already talking about going back again!! Meta was so easy to work with and super responsive in answering all of my emailed questions with long, detailed responses. You will love Casa Margarita!
Great Vacation Home!
We returned last week from a family get together at Casa Margarita. I highly recommend this property as it is a beautiful property with friendly staff and Meta is so easy to work with. We also had Sonia and Marcos in to cook for us the day of our arrival as they were so highly recommended and we agreed and had them back our last night also!! We all loved the pool, especially our 2 year old grandson who was in the pool by 7 AM every day!! The beach is so nice and just a little ways down there is an old pier underwater with great snorkeling. We loved the little restaurants in town and highly recommend Tacos.com, El Nicho for breakfast (try the seedy papaya) and My Little Italy!! The bedrooms are all nice with their own bathroom so no fighting over bathroom time!! Each bedroom also has a balcony and the views are stunning!! The Chedraui close by was one of our favorite places and we went often to purchase baked goods and to try new foods. Every morning there were people practicing Tai Chi, yoga, and meditation on the beach!! I just can’t say enough about this area and how nice and welcoming it was!! We used the taxi service every day and they were so fast and helpful!! Thanks again – we loved it!! PS – bring cash as very few places take cards!!
Best Vacation Ever!!
Every time I look at pictures of our week at Casa Margarita I think nothing can be that perfect. But it truly was paradise and postcard perfect. There are no words to describe.. It’s also hard to think of anything new to say that hasn’t already been said. Meta was so great to work with. I feel like I know her and she’s a good friend even though I haven’t met her. The town of Puerto Morelos is a perfect vacation spot and very close to the airport. There isn’t a need for a rental car because everything is walking distance. Everyone (except me) got a kick of riding bikes into town. There were so many great little restaurants – all were excellent and so reasonable. Service everywhere was top notch. The Chedraui was an easy 5 minute taxi ride and had all the essentials. The little grocery store in town had most items also including fresh tortillas. Can’t say enough about Casa Margarita or the staff. Every bedroom was huge with beautiful private bathroom – very unusual for a 5 bedroom house. My daughter and her husband travelled with a 9 month old baby. They got the larger bedroom with king, queen, refrigerator, microwave and still plenty of room for Pack-n-Play. This is perfect home for a large family and Pack-n-Play, high chair and stroller were provided. My daughter brought a baby monitor so they were able to enjoy the pool while she was napping. The kitchen was better stocked than I could ever hope for. We made breakfast every morning, ate sandwiches for lunch or went next door to Unico Beach Club. We walked to town and tried a new restaurant every night – loved Meta’s suggestions . There was plenty of room in the house for everyone to get together as a group or there were places to sneak off to for “alone” time. They have a staff of 4 including someone raking and cleaning the beach each morning, 2 people working on the grounds and pool and a cleaning person that comes twice during the week. My daughter in law got a bad UTI the first night and was in considerable pain. I was in a panic and called Roberto, the house manager at 7 AM. He made arrangements for her to see a Dr. and had a taxi there in less than 30 minutes. That certainly wouldn’t happen in US. Everyone went above and beyond to make this the best vacation ever. Hope to go back someday!!!
We have finally found home….in paradise! *sigh*
We were a group of 8 adults and 2 children (9 and 11 year old boys). This house was the perfect set up for all of us. We had plenty of room to spread out and have our own space, or come together as a group. We brought our boys PlayStation down (I know…I know, it’s vacation! But they needed their down time too!), and the tv/kids room was perfect for them to hang out in after a long day and unwind while the adults did their own things. It was nice to have that separate tv/living room just for them.
The private fenced off area of beach was wonderful, although the main area of beach for the most part was very quiet. There were people who would gather and hang out on the beach, but it was very a very wide section of beach and we never felt crowded. Loved the beach, it was so beautiful. Football on the beach…all day long!
The house had everything you would need in the kitchen and beyond. I know most reviews have mentioned all of this, so I don’t really need to! 🙂 Pack a carry on and travel light. Everything you need is right there
A huge thank you to Meta and her family for sharing their home with us (and for being so easy to work with!)…and to her incredible staff that keeps it looking beautiful. They are definitely an asset to your business, Meta. I know this is said in every review, but for those of us who has stayed with you…we really appreciate it!
We made wonderful local connections and can not wait to go back next year. What a great small town to explore. They are very welcoming and eager to talk and get to know you. Loved it! I have been all over Mexico many times, but it is Puerto Morelos that has captured my heart!
Rest assured…this is the place to go. I promise you, you will love it.
ps. Two recommendations….if you are looking for a massage, Gabriella next door at Unico is incredible! My husband went twice and others in our group had a total of 3 massages too. At $20 an hour (yes, you read that right!!)..it just can’t be beat! She is a kindred soul and a wonderful massage therapist. Book with you…you will go back for more. 🙂
Second….we had professional chefs come in THREE times. They were wonderful and such great people who happen to cook delicious food! Dona Sonia was their business name, Sonia and Marco. Incredible food and down to earth people. A splurge, but worth it!

It really doesn’t get any better than this! The property is beautiful and well-maintained and you can’t beat the stunning sunrises. We enjoyed the convenience of the location, especially with, the little bar called Unico just 500 feet away, from the property. If we were feeling lazy and wanted lunch or a great mango margarita, it is 1 minute away. We were also able to book an hour massage there by Gabriella for $20 for a full hour. I did it twice, she is very good and I would recommend a late morning or early afternoon appointment. The town is only a 10 minute walk down the beach which is not a hardship given the scenery. There are plenty of of restaurants and we enjoyed El Pirata where Chef Carlitos makes great lobster and the staff there is very friendly.
The staff at Casa Margarita was great and we booked a snorkeling tour with Reyna the housekeeper. $20 for a 2 hour tour of some of the best reefs in the world and the boat picked us up in front of the property- could it get any easier? Roberto, the property manager did a great job with any request we had and being very helpful and responsive.
In addition, Meta gave us a few names of cooks/chefs in the area that would come in and cook a meal for us. I would highly recommend Sonia and Marco Molinar! They own Dona Sonia and came in and cooked us fabulous authentic Mexican food our second night. We liked them so much we had them back two mores times. I can’t say enough great things about Casa Margarita and working with Meta. If you have never done a vrbo then let this be the first and only place you stay in Puerto Morelos!

Casa Margarita…perfect for 6 girlfriends’ week-long birthday fiesta/escape in paradise!!!
My 5 girlfriends and I had a SUPERB time at Casa Margarita!! We went down there to celebrate all of our 60th birthdays in 2015! All the planning and questioning and was so worth it! Loved Puerto Morelos! What a sweet little town! Just enough shopping spots to bargain and good places to eat (we especially liked Pelicanos and Tacos.com.) Very friendly folks everywhere! Always felt safe. So great to have Chedraui (the big supermarket) right there!!! We went there two different times…good experience for my friends who had never shopped like that before! The second time we were there, we ran into Daniel…owner of the Jungle Spa (the place where the Mayan women do massages.) Struck up a conversation with him and he said that the ATM right there to the left of the front doors of Chedraui (and right behind the little bank) is the safest one to use in town. He said that the man in the bank checks the ATM machine daily to make sure that it hasn’t been compromised. Really good to know!
The staff at the houses is great! We especially liked Adrian and Reyna and Enrique!! They were almost always around whenever we needed something…so helpful! The guys worked hard on the beach a few days trying to get rid of the darn sargazo (seaweed)…ugh! It was also fun to walk through the next door house (Casa del Sol) after our week in Margarita so we could REALLY compare the two! They’re BOTH marvelous!! But we were happy that we had that table IN the pool at CM… One of everyone’s favorite moments of the week was our first full day there when we had a great lunch and we all sat around that pool table and ate and drank and gave thanks for our blessings. We were just so comfy right there, happy that it was blue sky and SUNNY and we didn’t have to go anywhere or do anything but just BE there with each other. So wonderful and so IN that pool!! 🙂 🙂 Every day we gave thanks for perfect weather! Amazing!!! Only rained at night! Wheeeeee! Most of our time the whole week was spent at Casa Margarita. We just liked it so much that we didn’t really want to go anywhere else!
Every morning there I REALLY enjoyed lying in my COMFY bed reading a fantastic book! I also enjoyed walking on the beach in spite of the sargazo! Always felt safe going both north and south. The bikes were also GREAT FUN!! Kitchen totally met our needs…thank you for the double refrigerators!!!
We will DEFINITELY go back! LOVED working with Meta!!!

We had a great time at Casa Margarita and would definitely recommend this home. Easy walk to town and great restaurants all along the way. Meta was very quick to reply to any questions we had about the area and the home, and Roberto was just incredible and would go above and beyond to help us. He arranged transportation for us with a gentleman named Noe pronounced (Noah). We used his services twice (trip to Xel-ha and Play DelCarmen – Cozumel) and would highly recommend him. He was awesome! Roberto surprised our group while we were having a 9 year olds birthday party with a minion piñata! We were using a trash bag and he showed up with a real piñata! It was really unbelievable! We also enjoyed having the house stocked prior to our arrival. The pool was the highlight of the house for all of us during the hot days, and the rooftop at night for the 6 adults for stargazing was great. This home will not disappoint. Thanks Jerry and Meta for sharing your beautiful piece of paradise with all of us!

Casa Margarita is a wonderful home in a beautiful location
I would highly recommend Casa Margarita in Puerto Morelos. The owners are wonderful to work with. This was our families first time to Mexico and Meta was excellent in responding to all our questions. Puerto Morelos is a very safe little village that is easy to get to from Cancun airport.
The home was in immaculate condition when we arrived. Three levels with balconies and incredible views from most bedrooms and the main floor is breath taking. We cannot say enough about how awesome the pool is!
The town has excellent restaurants and shops. There is excellent snorkeling right off the beach a little way down from Casa Margarita.

Adult and Child Paradise
We are finishing up a way too short stay at Casa Margarita with a remarkable view of the ocean as I write this. The three families had a great time with plenty of space to do what they wanted, when they wanted. The six children aged 6 to 12 rarely left the pool that was well stocked with toys, snorkel gear, floats, to keep them well entertained. The house owner answered every question for recommendations before and during the trip nearly immediately and always with great information. Need a massage therapist? Need a snorkel company? Want to go fishing? Did you happen to forget to bring your bathing suit? The owner had great referrals for all. The house is superbly maintained and has all the space you could possibly need and if ANY issue arises, the house manager is ON IT. The house is also just a short walk from the square. I will stay here again. The only question is how soon I can get back.

Great Family Vacation
Our three weeks in Casa Margarita with our family & friends was a wonderful holiday which exceeded all my expectations.Roberto, Adrian, Reyna & the rest of the staff were awesome. Everything Meta(the owner) said to expect during our stay was correct with some happy surprises. We used the bikes almost every day after Adrian adjusted a few of them. My husband (whose knees aren’t great) loved biking into & around town with his friend & the grandchildren. My list could go on & on with many of the little things which just made our stay exceptional. With our family from Edmonton, Winnipeg & Toronto all able to reconnect & have fun together is priceless. We don’t know if & when we’d be able to get everyone together again with their busy lives but having been able to do it this once in a little piece of paradise at Casa Margarita in Puerto Morelos was awesome! From Meta answering all my e-mailed questions promptly, for having wonderful on-site staff, for all the niceties which make Casa Margarita very special, great location close to village for restaurants, wonderful beach & warm sea all make this a wonderful place for friends & family to enjoy. Perfect for a Large Group
10 adults, and never once, did we feel cramped. Each bedroom has it’s own bathroom, the kitchen is well equipped with all you need, large dining room table which can accommodate up to 12 adults comfortably, large living area. The pool is amazing, loved the fact that you could fit 3 – 4 loungers in the shallow part….dip your toes in the water to cool off….and the view of the ocean leaves you breathless……walking distance to the square, restaurants and shops. Gated community, very safe area. Roberto and the staff bend over backwards to make sure you have everything you need. Loved it, loved it, loved…only thing we didn’t like ..was leaving….. it would go back any day

The Perfect Beach Vacation
If you are looking for the perfect house, the perfect location, the perfect beach and the perfect small fishing village, this is the place for you. There are wonderful restaurants, a great coffee shop, a bakery and lots of activities. This year a large grocery store opened a 5 minute drive from Casa Margarita. Case Margarita is beautiful, well maintained with everything you could possibly need at the beach and then some. There is a property manager, a housekeeper that comes twice a week, and an outside person who keeps the pool crystal clean, and flowers blooming. We have been there 4 times and are already booked for next year. If you go once, you will be hooked and will keep going from year to year. Best relaxing vacation ever.

Best Place in the World to be Caught in a Tropical Depression
We booked Casa Del Sol last summer, but when our week changed, Meta (the most wonderful owner), told us not only was Casa Margerita available but it potentiallly would be a much better fit for our crew. We were Oma and Grandpa, our son, his wife and their son (15 months old), and our daughter and her husband and their 4 month old daughter. Yes, I was a bit crazy to attempt a vacation like this but our family loves Mexico, and Puerto Morelos in particular. My husband and I have come to PM often, and had walked by the Casa’s often. Oh wow, the view from the beach does not even begin to give you an idea of the house. The parents and kids traveled separately, but due to the abundance of groceries we bought in Cancun, we arrived much later than the kids. But, Roberto did not give up on us, he welcomed us with open arms. He helped us unload our tons of groceries, showed us around, and left us to explore our surroundings. What a house! The big beautiful kitchen worked out great, with lots of counters, great appliances, and 2 fridges (so very appreciated). Casa Margerita has a gorgeous, huge dining room table, a cozy living room, and yes, 5 bedrooms, 5 baths and a “TV” room, that my son was able to take over as an office (unfortunately work followed him). But, it was so perfect for what we all needed…..bedrooms for the 3 couples plus room for babies!! Then, a Tropical Depression hit us on Monday, and lasted through Thursday. But, we had enough room inside and protected areas outside to not step over each other. We were so thankful for that big beautiful house. When the weather cleared a wee bit the grandparents pushed the babies to town to grab more groceries……and we also got to visit the brand new big grocery at the highway. We spent a lot of time at the table on the lower deck (wonderfully covered) playing games, and again, when we had a little clearing, enjoyed the pool……and even the beach. The pools colored lights that shine at night are so beautiful….what a great atmosphere. We ate every meal at home (eating out with babies is such a challenge), but did get fresh fish in town for most meals, usually grilled outside. It definitely was not the week we planned on, but it was a wonderful week, and we really really hope it works out for us to return again. Hopefully to enjoy more sunshine. Thank you Meta, for being unendingly patient with all of my questions. I pray we meet someday!! Hugs!!!! Oma (Grandma O/Debbie O)

Wonderful Beach Retreat
Love, love, love this property. We were a family of 13 including 5 children, ages 3-12. As mentioned previously, the location is wonderful – right in town a short walk from restaurants, convenience stores, shopping, etc. And yet, right on the beach with a beautiful pool.
We were wondering how we were going to divvy up the bedrooms with 4 adult couples and the 5 children but it was really easy. Each adult couple had a private bedroom and attached bath. 4 of the children slept in the bedroom with the queen and king sized bed with attached bath, TV, and water cooler. My daughter and her husband slept in the bedroom which included a queen sized bed and a twin bed in which their 3-year old slept.
It was great having a washer and dryer and nice beach towels. The kitchen is set up well for a family with toaster, blender, microwave, dishwasher, coffee pot, gas stove and oven. There were plenty of kid-friendly cups and bowls. We ate most breakfasts and lunches in and went out for a few dinners and lunches. Lisa Troan did grocery shopping for us initially and we made about 3 additional trips via taxi to the newer, larger grocery store (taxi is only $2.50 each way).
Lisa Troan fixed one dinner for the 13 of us – it was great being served a lovely salad and chicken and pasta main entre with asparagus. We also ate at Cantina Habernaro, La Sirena, Tacos.com, a place on the beach across from Pelicanos, Unico Beach Bar and Roy’s beach bar. All very good except Unico which I would rate just okay. We preferred Roy’s beach bar to Unico (I don’t know if that is the official name but next beach bar down south of Unico). We listened to live music at night at Cantina Habernaro and La Sirena – great talent. We really enjoyed our nights out on the town. One or two of the adults would stay back with the kids who were always sleeping early wiped out from the sun and sand.
There are pool and sand toys available for the kids which came in very handy. We used the kayak and the bikes which are also provided. The TV room downstairs with the library of DVD’s was used most evenings after dinner by the kids while the adults watched a little TV prior to going out.
Roberto, the property manager, and the caretaker couple were very courteous and helpful. Jerry and Meta, the owners, were an absolute dream to work with.
We will be back to this house and in between family vacations, my husband and I will come back to Puerto Morelos. Love the town.

Thank you so much Jerry and Meta for sharing your beautiful piece of paradise. We stayed at the Casa Margarita from October 11, 2014 – October 18, 2014. There are so many reasons we want to go back and here are a few:
1. Location is perfect
2. Nice beach to take long walks
3. Very clean and well stocked home
4. Helpful and very friendly staff
5. Safe and friendly town
6. Town is a short bike ride or a 10 min walk
7. Very nice infinity pool
8. Plenty of space in the house (we are a family of 10 and never felt cramped)
9. Free wifi
10. Jerry and Meta are excellent to work with. Very informative and made sure all our needs were met.
We also hired Lisa Troan to come and cook a special birthday dinner for us while we were there. She was very reasonable. She fixed a phenomenal meal for us and she was such a joy to talk to. I would recommend everyone to have her come in and cook a meal for them- you won’t regret it.
We are definitely planning our next trip to back to Casa Margarita. Feel free to email me if you have any questions.

Thank you so much Meta and Jerry for letting our group of 12 stay in the house for a week! The home is just like the pictures except more awesome when you are there. The house has plenty of room and so does the pool area. We were not running into each other at all. We bought groceries from Walmart and ate mostly breakfast and lunch at the house and then went to town for dinner. The town has excellent food. Our favorite place was Tacos.com! Do not miss the chance to go when you stay here! We also loved getting drinks at Unico Beach Bar, getting pastries from the bakery van that drives around town at night, and going to the fruit market on wednesday morning for excellent fruit at a really good price! The town is a short walk away and is worth going to but some nights we just wanted to sit on the back porch or the beach and listen to the ocean. That was priceless. We also tried deep sea fishing and snorkeling in the town. Both were a lot of fun! Do not miss the chance to book this place! You will not regret it! Thanks again Meta and Jerry for the wonderful stay and we will for sure see you in the future!
Casa Margarita Crew
Special Thanks to Meta and Jerry for the opportunity to stay in clearly the best property in Puerto Morelos. Everything is as the reviews reflect, only more. Our group of six spent a majority of the time in and around the awesome pool area. The inside has been carefully laid out for maximum comfort and privacy and is decorated very nicely. The views from the pool were much more awesome than the pictures show. You will be amazed at the stars at night from the deck on top and if you are as lucky as we were, you could see a full moon rising over the water just as the sun goes down. The recent reviews are accurate, so no need to wonder why all the previous guests raved over this home. Do the snorkel trip out to the reef and there are some structures in front of the house that hold many of the reef fish. One thing to add about Puerto Morelos is the quality of food there. I have read where some had an in-house cook to prepare all the meals. Don’t do that! Go into town, (it’s a short walk), and eat the food at the restaurants. We wish we had not bought so many groceries at Walmart. We had some picky eaters in our group and every meal in town was better than the last, it’s all good. Some restaurants not to be missed are Tacos.com, Don Gauchos, El Nicho, Pelicanos, I Wanna Pizza, El Pirata, Coffee and Cream and their bakery, and there are many more that we wish we had more time to try. Get some of the local fruit from the market, it tastes ten times better than we can get in the states. Thanks again for opening up your great vacation home.

Margarita Crew 2014
We were there May10-17,”Margarita Crew 2014″ and had a great time, the house was super, just as the pictures showed and the pool was the best ever. We loved the view, the people were friendly, and the town was just a short walk, 3/4 mile. And of course the Margarita staff was great as well. Thanks for having us.

WONDERFUL place to stay!
Our group of 11 adult family members came from all over the US to vacation in Puerto Morelos. We all had a great time staying in Casa Margarita. The house is even more beautiful and comfortable than the pictures. The gorgeous swimming pool, the clean quiet white sand beach, the big comfortable bedrooms, the very well-equipped kitchen and outdoor grill, the great balconies, and terrific location all far exceeded our expectations. I will guarantee anyone staying here will be pleased. It’s simply a wonderful property.
A couple recommendations for those staying here are the Jungle Market and Spa and the Little Mexican Cooking School. Both were great! The snorkeling out on the reef was spectacular too. Don’t miss it.

Awesome Two Family Vacation!
My family of 6 and another family of 4 spend a week at Casa Margarita and we were blown away! The moment we arrived, we knew we were in for the best family vacation we’ve taken. Roberto greeted us and showed us all around the house so that we were familiar with everything we needed. The kids went straight to the pool and jumped in! Each day they were left with a choice of beach or pool. The best part is that we could sit on the pool deck and watch the kids in the calm ocean surf.
The home is absolutely gorgeous – the pictures do not do it justice – and well appointed with everything you need. The views are spectacular from all three levels and you are on a very quiet piece of the beach. The adults spent our evenings outside on the third level gazing at the ocean and stars.
The house is close to town a short 10 minute walk down the beach or a $2USD cab ride. Even the young kids preferred the walk. There is a beach bar next door for an afternoon cocktail while the kids play volleyball. We found Puerto Morelos to be a charming town. Most nights we went to the town square for dinner at one of the awesome restaurants (Los Gauchos was our favorite) and picked up some homemade churros on the town square. The kids enjoyed dancing with some of the locals each night.
Meta was extremely helpful answering all of my questions and preparing us for our arrival. The 10 of us had plenty of space and we probably could’ve had another family easily. This was our first home rental on VRBO and it was EASY and dramatically exceeded our expectations. We loved Casa Margarita and you will too! We will be back for sure.

Extended Family of 11, Best VRBO Stay Ever
Our family of 11 including parents, 4 kids, grandpa, and uncle spent two days in Playa Del Carmen at a very nice VRBO and then moved up to Casa Margarita for a full week. The entire Casa Margarita experience was fantastic and I will try to list a few highlights.
1. The cleanest and nicest VRBO property we have stayed in.
2. Great pool, kitchen (all utensils needed), dining area, bedrooms, bikes, and Beach.
3. Trip to markets west of highway for meat, fruits and vegetables on the bikes. The fresh pork roast was so large we hardly got it into the basket. We then put it into the slow cooker while we played all day.
4. Walking distance to Puerto Morelos town square, even for Grandpa.
5. Vendors and bars on the beach.
6. Snorkeling on the reef with the grounds keepers cousin.
7. The Wi-Fi and all electronics worked!!!
8. Grill was top notch, we bought fresh fish in town from the fisherman, red snapper that was awesome.
9. Long open water swims and runs through town and on the beach.
I do not believe that we left wanting for anything as all three of the employees made sure we were comfortable and felt extremely safe. We sampled many of the eating establishments and believe that all of them were very good. Remember to bring bug spray if you eat at one of the outdoor restaurant’s off the beach where there is no breeze. The bakery on the east side of the road on the way into town was a real highlight but you have to get there very early to smell the baking and get items before they are gone.
When walking the beach to town beware of the second message and hair braid tent along the way. They did a decent job but tried to charge a crazy price for my daughters braids, I would go to the first tent.
This house is everything that Meta says and more. The visuals, the smells of Mexico, the clear water, the service and kindness. We tend to vacation at New locations when possible but we will return to this house for sure.
We are all safely home trying to adjust to reality after our week in paradise! It was always my dream to reunite our family together in a vacation spot and I spent several weeks searching the Internet and reading reviews for the perfect spot. What a blessing to have chosen Casa Margarita! Your beautiful home, pool, location were a complete holiday package. We had considered some day trips but once everyone settled into your peaceful quiet home, we just wanted to stay there. Our grandchildren loved the pool and their swimming skills improved so much in the week. We enjoyed being able to walk to town for suppers and loved the quaint slower paced village. You have done such a nice job of decorating the home with cute wall hangings. The pool is outstanding and we spent most of our time visiting outside. Roberto and your house staff were so pleasant and made us feel so comfortable.

Another Great Stay at Casa Margarita!
This is our 3rd stay at Casa Margarita. We were fortunate to stay twice this year. Our most recent visit was with our adult children. Our kids were so impressed with the beautiful home and all it had to offer. This was their first visit to Puerto Morelos and although it is a small town, they never ran out of things to do! It is such a friendly and safe town even late at night. Adrian made arrangements for us to go snorkeling and we were picked up right in front of the house. We loved going to Unico Beach Bar which is a short walk up the beach. There were so many restaurants to choose from that we never had a bad meal. We took advantage of the bikes that were available and did some exploring. Reyna and Adrian made sure the home and grounds were spotless and if there was anything we needed, Roberto our property manager was just a phone call away. Can’t wait to return again to Casa Margarita.

Fabulous 2 Weeks Spent at Casa Margarita!
What a great place to spend a 50th birthday!! We had the most wonderful time at Casa Margarita. Hung out by the pool (our favorite thing to do!!), overlooking the beautiful waters of the caribbean, snorkled right out from the house, took walks along the beach and into the great little town of Puerto Morelos. Meta and Jerry have done a wonderful job on making Casa Margarita as comfortable as possible, from the many amenities, to the cozy beds and furniture, to the fantastic infinity pool! We will definitely be taking another trip to Puerto Morelos and staying at Casa Margarita! You will love this place!!

Unbeatable Beach Life in Margaritaville!!
We haven’t finished our stay at Casa Margarita yet but we felt the need to share our thoughts about this wonderful beachfront villa.
Meta and Jerry have lavished love, care and attention to detail to ensure that every renters need is catered for. The villa is just as described and the photos are current…the views are to die for and the outside space offers a series of different places to sunbathe…relax in the shade…eat lunch…or drink your favourite tipple at 5 o’clock!!
We could go on and on but we’re about to take a stroll in to the village for our regular dinner at yet another different restaurant…seven so far and we’ve enjoyed them all! Thanks to Meta and Jerry for a great vacation!

Family Vacation at Casa Margarita – Yahoo!
Such a comfortable home- just right for 3 families.(6 kids, ages 4-8) Well equipped kitchen, bananas from the tree by the pool, spacious living quarters, beach decor to put you in the mood! The kids loved jumping in the pool first thing in the morning, even before breakfast! Football, softball on the beach, jumping in the waves- a great part of the ocean. An easy walk to town for groceries, cerveza, dinner (Las Palmyras, I Want My Pizza) … We enjoyed the quiet, laid back atmosphere of Puerto Morelos…no car needed! We’ll be back! 5-star hotels at Mayan Riviera? Waste of your vacation time. Thanks for sharing the great house Meta, we had a long flight from Europe, but it was worth it. Not only the house is great, walking distance to the center of Puerto Morelos, but what makes it special is all the nice people who take care of it. I can´t think of something we missed during our stay, well more time to stay at casa. And for those not being sure if Puerto is the right destination instead of Playa or Cancun – yes. If you miss night life its a short bus ride to cancun or playa, or a taxi ride. What you get in exchange is the comfort of the beach in front of your pool and not crowded beaches with great beach bars. Thanks
Home Away From Home!

What can we say, Casa Margarita was above and beyond expectations.
From the moment you walk in, you feel like your at home (if you lived on the Caribbean ocean). This place has everything mentioned in the listing and all the things you would never expect in addition. For example, there’s not just one stereo/cd player in the main area but another ipod docking station. There is also scanner/printer/fax. The fifth bedroom is like a complete suite of it’s own with everything you’d need on it’s own, including dishes, microwave, fridge, coffee maker and separate entrance! The master bedroom even has it’s own ipod docking station etc.
We were just talking about the fact that we were never in wanting for anything, whether it be cooking utensils, detergents, rinses etc. for dishwasher, bicycles and little things like spices etc. There are all different kinds of lounge chairs and areas outside (patio, lawn, pool and beach).
We’ve stayed many places, homes and resorts alike, in Mexico and I’ve got to say the location is awesome, with a cute private section of beach. You can lounge in privacy or step over into the general beach area, yet it’s close to an authentic Mexican square for eating, shopping, arranging snorkelling or fishing etc.
It shouldn’t go without mentioning that the grounds are plush and manicured, and the service was perfect, with the caretakers even putting up and taking down the umbrellas morning and night. We could get used to this.

Casa Margarita – A Slice of Heaven!
We just returned from our stay at Casa Margarita. I carefully prepared my list of things I wanted to do in Mexico but once I walked through the beautiful entrance to Casa Margarita, my agenda changed. The house exceeded our expectations! Roberto, the manager, Adrian, the caretaker and Reina, the housekeeper were wonderful to us! There were 7 adults in our group and we had plenty of room to spread out. We loved that each of the bedrooms had its own bathroom and shower! Not only was the kitchen well stocked but there was hand soap in each of the bathrooms and kitchen along with toilet paper in the bathrooms. There were plenty of towels and linen for us so no need to bring beach towels. The pool was perfect along with place for sun or shade. We enjoyed our stay so much that I ended up not doing anything on my list. If you go, make sure you enjoy the people and sights of Puerto Morelos! The town was safe, welcoming and so charming! We were so sad when our vacation came to an end. The good thing is that we have booked Casa Margarita again for next year!

Great Place to Stay
Had an unbelievable stay at Casa Margarita last year. We were 5 adults and 5 young kids. Roberto and Adrian took great care of us and made us feel at home. The only reason we are not returning this year is that were given a free villa on the pacific coast for a few weeks, but I still yearn to come back and stay at Casa Margarita again.
We have had several vacations in Puerto Morelos and staying at Casa Margarita made this visit very comfortable. The house exceeded our expectations. We instantly felt right at home and were sad to leave when the time came to go. Roberto was there to answer questions and Adrien and his wife kept the yard and house in top shape at all times. Our kids were in the pool almost every spare moment. It was also nice to be able to snorkel right off the beach in front of the house. If you’ve never been to Puerto Morelos it’s worth a visit and this is the way to go. I highly recommend this house.

Our group of women loved this gorgeous villa right on the beach. The entire place is so beautifully decorated and well-appointed. The kitchen is spacious and perfect for a group to cook in. All the rooms are so ‘beachy” and warm and lovely in every way. We never wanted to go home, but just to stay and relax in this awesome place. We especially appreciated the short beach walk into town. It was so convenient. We can’t wait to come back in a few months.

Spectacular Vacation, Again!
This is 3rd trip to PM & 2nd stay in this house. Big improvements have been made in the home since our last visit. 3 couples & 1 child with plenty of room to spare. This past trip’s weather was hot & humid, so we did use the pool alot. My 4 yo loved it! The pictures really don’t begin to show how nice it is. There are plenty of towels/bedding/pillows, the kitchen is well stocked & washer/dryer make packing light easy. You’re close enough to walk into town, although if your picking up ice, grab a taxi. There is so much to do in the area, or nothing to do- whichever you prefer. Roberto & Adrian, the manager & caretaker, are terrific! Completely unintrusive, but there if & when you need them. Stay here, sit on the pool wall looking out over that gorgeous beach & sea, and you’ll know you’re in the best spot in Puerto! Happy vacation!

Everything well appointed and maintained ;the spot on the beach and the infinity pool divine;kitchens with everything you could want;spacious and beautiful but relaxed.
We have booked our next trip in March there and can’t wait to get back! The owners and managers are wonderful and the fishing village down the street is casual and low key and totally delightful.
